Untitled 3-2017 (Thread) (2017)

This new acrylic abstract on paper really speaks to me.  I initially didn’t have a title for it but I am fond of the little ribbon of red that kind of threads its way through the left side of the painting.  The lines in this piece felt like they floated into position like they were already selected to be where they were placed.  I love when that happens, a rare thing for sure!

Untitled 2-2017 (2017)

A new acrylic on paper.  Not sure what this is exactly or what it conveys.  Feels a little ethereal.  I loved the way the colors came together.

Empty Pot (2017)

Trying something a little different.  I was inspired to paint what appears to be an ancient looking pot.  Could be an oil pot or a pot for water.  I don’t do objective reality pieces very often.  I saw a beautiful painting of a pot and I wanted to paint one too.  This one is in my typical acrylic on paper format (16″x 20″).
