Drift (2016)

Still playing with a digital art app.  I miss the tactile experience of brushes & paints but this does give me a way of keeping art in the mix.

In Knots (EMP #3) (2016)

Sometimes life just has you in knots.  Decisions aren’t clear.  Future seems uncertain.  Answers seem elusive.  Been in & out of feeling this way for a couple weeks.  Art gives wings, for me at least, to things that burden me beyond mere words’ capacity to express.

My newest electronic media painting.  I have always liked abstract works that have this child-like unfinished edge but a depth of composition that pulls you in as a viewer.   On one hand people might be led to say “well I could do that” but on the other hand it draws them in to take a deeper look .

In Transit (EMP-1) (2016)

My first electronic media painting.  It is weird not using my usual brushes, etc.  But I have struggled to make time to paint recently and this seemed worth trying.  There is just something in me that can only be expressed when I paint.
