Azteca (2015)

azteca.edd.10.26.2015

As this piece came together it had a Soutwestern, earthy kind of feel.  The lines in the middle create kind of a terraced effect which I thought was kind of cool.  Those lines were my starting point for this piece, everything else came together as I worked.

It’s beautiful. Reminds me of mola, a fabric application of art (google it and this will make sense). I really am liking the boldness.

When I did quilting I learned about it. It’s not an easy process but the results are so pleasing and have meaning as well.
