Cobblestone (2014)

A new piece.  I attempted to play with kind of a new dimensional feel on this one.

Wow, Eli! I think I like this the best of all the work you have done! It works, as they would say in art school. It really does. Stay on this path. Make big ones and acrylic ones on canvas. Really well done!

Hollis, your encouragement, as always, is such a gift! I’d love to start working in a larger format in a different medium. Space and funds tend to restrict me to working with watercolors in my typical small format (my pieces are usually 9″x11″). I will stay on this path and see where it goes! Thanks much for your very kind encouragement and helpful feedback. 🙂

On my reader, this art piece came up beside this photo by Natalie Maks. https://wordpress.com/read/blog/id/45354805/

I like almost everything she posts. She captures some great images. Your work paired up beautifully with hers. I think I thought it was glass becasue it resembled the glass in a painting I am currently working on with the fruit over door 418.

The work-in-progress version is up. I haven’t decided how much detail to put into the details, but I like it very much so far.

I am working on it again today, but trying not to overwork it. (You do not seem to have that problem. Yours is masterly simple yet having impact.) Thanks for the inspiration.

Hey Lucy, I saw the piece you’re working on. Really love it. The subtlety of the window above the door is lovely. Love the flowers too. Beautiful composition.

I am pretty big on finding inspiring pieces to keep my own creative spirit alive. Sounds selfish, but I wanted to let you know how much I liked your painting.
