Mixed ultramarine blue with a variety of different colors and created this design. Blue was the base color for all these combinations. Thought it was kinda groovy. So, what kind of blue are you?

I am definitely a turquoise and a Lake Michigan on a calm day blue. Beautiful piece. I love it. How great it would look on my wall. Is your work for sale? Thank you for following my blog. I appreciate it so much.

This is a beautiful piece. I really like it a lot! I’m an aquamarine (soft) kind of girl. I’ve been to the Bahamas and other islands and the water color there reflects how I am as a person. Great match up with the colors and hues. You’re very talented! How big is your canvas for this picture?

I paint exclusively in watercolors. This painting is in 6″ x 9″ format. I would be glad to reproduce it in larger format. Thanks for your comment, your feedback is greatly valued!

It’s gorgeous! I oilpaint when I have time, but doing water colors takes incredible talent. I want to try doing a watercolor painting of a Japanese flower. I love Japanese water color paintings! So delicate and mysterious. I have to go to bed now. It was nice chatting with you! 🙂 We’ll chat soon again!

I totally agree about Japanese paintings. They are infinitely elegant. I’d love to see some of your work. It’ll be nice to chat again soon. Nite!

I love Picasso, so I like bright colors, but soft inspirational and poetic Japanese paintings also capture my attention. Sorry I’m commenting late. I had a very, very busy day today. Hope you had a nice day!

Picasso’s use of color was genius. Japanese art’s more subtle use of color is lovely and very appealing to me!

Yes, so the water colors are gorgeous with the Japanese paintings. Do you have a favorite?

That is neat! Some of them don’t look blue at all.
I think I like all kinds of blues – the slate color blue all the way up to midnight blue.

I’d say I am a blue-green right now. I’m feeling a bit envious of your artistic ability. 🙂 You have a gift. Thanks for reading one of my posts. I follow quite a few artist’s blogs. I follow because I cannot do…again, envy. I need to work on that. Blessings!

I really like this. I did something really similar in July called “Kerfe inspired” – for a blogger friend. Then I splattered all over it. Yours is a bit more behaved but I really like it. The grid composition is a really great one. I need to experiment more with that one.
